# Adendu > Adendu is a browser-based workspace for independent contractors and small trade businesses. It organizes clients, estimates, invoices, projects and change orders. Public product reference, updated 2026-10-20. This is a supplemental index of public information, not an API or access to account records. [Product facts](https://adendu.com/product-facts) ## Who is Adendu for? Independent contractors and small trade businesses, including painters, remodelers, builders, electricians, plumbers, landscapers and handymen. The interface and guides are in English. Document amounts are in USD. - [Explore the workspace features](https://adendu.com/features) ## What can I use without an account? The free change order tool lets a visitor enter their own business, client, scope, line items and added days, then download a PDF. No account or payment is required for that PDF. The free draft stays in the current browser tab. Creating an account does not automatically upload it. Free PDF templates and a job pricing calculator are also available. The separate example workspace uses fictional records stored in the browser. - [Create a free change order PDF](https://adendu.com/try) - [Free templates and pricing calculator](https://adendu.com/resources) ## How much does the full workspace cost? Adendu Solo costs US$15 per month. PayPal handles the recurring Adendu subscription. Paid access starts after payment is confirmed. The Account page shows availability and subscription controls. Solo includes clients, estimates, invoices, projects, photos, change orders, private change order approval links, revisions, PDFs and backups. Customers can cancel future renewals in Account, retain the remainder of their confirmed paid period, then read and export their records. - [Plan and current pricing](https://adendu.com/pricing) - [Subscription and service terms](https://adendu.com/terms) ## What can a client approve without an account? A contractor with Solo can share a private link for one saved version of a change order. The client reviews the extra work, additional price, photos and schedule, then supplies their name and explicit consent without creating an account. Links expire after seven days. This link-based workflow applies to change orders. Estimate acceptance is recorded manually by the contractor after the customer responds. A supplied name is not an independent identity check. If approved work changes again, create a linked revision instead of changing the approved record. - [How change order approval works](https://adendu.com/help#approval) ## Does Adendu collect invoice payments? No. Contractors arrange customer payments outside Adendu and record received amounts manually. Adendu does not collect customer invoice payments or provide bank reconciliation or accounting integrations. PayPal subscription billing pays for Adendu itself; it does not process the contractor's customer invoices. - [Invoices and manually recorded payments](https://adendu.com/help#business-tools) ## Where are records stored and what are the limits? The account workspace uses authenticated cloud storage. A 4 MiB safety limit applies to the serialized workspace, including stored photos. PDF exports and workspace backups provide portable copies. The browser-only example workspace is separate from account records. Private account and approval pages are omitted from public sitemaps and marked not to be indexed. Access checks protect records; search indexing rules do not grant access. - [Storage limits and backups](https://adendu.com/help#storage) - [Privacy and data](https://adendu.com/privacy) ## What is Find a contractor? The public directory lets visitors search published professional profiles by trade and service area, read available reviews and use the contact methods the profile owner has chosen to publish. Publishing a profile requires Solo and the owner's consent to make those details public. A listing does not guarantee visibility in search engines, inquiries, clients or earnings. Profiles and reviews are not invented to populate an empty directory. - [Browse the public directory](https://adendu.com/contractors) ## Who operates Adendu? Adendu is operated by Dezza. Product and account support is available at contact@adendu.com. Field notes are written by Adendu and use clearly identified illustrative examples; they are not customer testimonials or jurisdiction-specific professional advice. - [About Adendu](https://adendu.com/about) - [Contact support](https://adendu.com/contact) - [Read Field notes](https://adendu.com/blog) ## Field notes - [A painting estimate example: scope, line items and a clear total](https://adendu.com/blog/painting-estimate-example): Build a readable painting estimate with a worked US$840 example, practical exclusions and a plan for handling the hallway your client adds later. - [A handyman invoice example with labor, materials and a part payment](https://adendu.com/blog/handyman-invoice-example): See how a US$270 handyman invoice becomes a US$170 balance after an illustrative US$100 part payment, with clear descriptions and a final review checklist. - [A landscaping change order example for an expanded garden bed](https://adendu.com/blog/landscaping-change-order-example): Document a garden-bed extension with a worked US$450 price, one added working day and a clear boundary between the original job and the extra. - [Contractor markup vs. margin: formulas and a worked job example](https://adendu.com/blog/contractor-markup-vs-margin): A 25% markup is a 20% margin.
